Fun in the Sun and forgot to bring the photos
Came to town to use the internet. My battery needs to be replaced in the computer and so I need an outlet to use the computer at all anymore. What a pain! I plugged in at an office in town and 10 minutes later the electricity went out in the building. Alas.
This is the time and place that a real Mexican attitude of "manana" comes in real handy. There are certain things that just can't be controlled... electricity is one of them. So I a learning each and every day to shrug off that which I cannot change. It's not easy for me.
We spent the last several days at the anchorage called La Mona. I spent my 45th birthday there. The whale sharks and dolphins came out to visit. A party commenced at the full moon on the 23rd and several cruisers gathered to dye clothing on the beach. We roasted marshmallows and sang songs.
I walked up to town this morning hoping to enter my entry into the blog and realized I forgot my photos to upload. I have some grand pics of boats, a regatta race we participated in, Tim's new windsurfing board... and quite a bit more.
We had planned to head back to Santa Rosalia before the 23rd, but Hurricane Georgette proceeded to get in our way. She luckily missed us (she was fast, but not much power to her) and now we've decided to spend some more time up this way since we really don't want to be in the throws of any storm that might develop south of us. We re relatively safe up here until mid November when we can take our time going south and towards El Salvador.
