Have done numerous projects since being at Santa Rosalia Marina.

Tim turned 14 on June 25th. We had a hotdog party up at the marina and cruisers joined us for the celebration. Tim specified he wanted a Tres Leches cake... God knows I won't try that one at home!

I don't know if it's because we're staying in a marina after 6 months of anchoring out or if it's just the pleasure of being in a quaint town with lovely people... Santa Rosalia is my favorite town on the Baja so far. Copper mining was the big draw in the 1860's; mining is coming alive here again.

Okay... I have to admit that I have had a fear of the water since this whole trip. There is something dark and scary about the ocean. In order for me to get in the water, two conditions have to be met: the water must be bathtub temperature AND I must be able to see down to the bottom.

Just A Minute with Patrick, Laura, Jack and Rudy-Dog came in! We haven't seen them since LoretoFest and so we were most happy to connect with them. The water was clear off Isla Coyote and warm enough to spend all day wallowing and floating about. We agreed to meet for dinner aboard Just a Minute along with the crew from Don Quixote.

We went hiking early morning to avoid the humidity and heat with the crew of "Don Quixote". The 1 mile hike was not that far, but was steep. The incline rose rapidly from sea level to 600 feet. The hike was rocky and we were very happy to have brought enough water to satisfy our thirsty crew!

Spent the night anchored at Santo Domingo. Motored to Mulegé in the morning and dropped anchor. Very grassy, so anchor didn't set and we had to do it all over again. Jim stayed on board to make sure we didn't drag off somewhere and the kids and I went into Mulegé for fresh produce and beer. Didn't set off for trek early enough in the day...

A very windy and rolly experience!

We ended up staying a month in Escondido... leaving only a few days to go to Bahía Salina. We payed for a mooring ball in the main anchorage for 12 days while Jim traveled north to retrieve the car and visit his dad. The kids and I stayed on board Windfall. He returned just in time for LoretoFest, which was fabulous!
