Friends in High Places (Tuesday, 12/22/09)
I can’t tell you how glad I am that JAM (Just A Minute) is paying the big bucks and living high on the hog at El Cid Marina. The perks WE get because they’re there are awesome! The service is immediate and impeccable. The grounds are like a combination of being on Fantasy Island and Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory... beautiful flowers, manicured lawns, iguanas roaming free, purple waterfalls in a crystal pool (that’s ONE of the pools), fruity foamy colorful beverages, young muscley bronzed bodies in Speedos... (and yucky! A few Oompa-Loompahs who shouldn’t be!) Hey! I, too, would be an Oompa-Loompah if I crammed my body into a tight red skimpy thread, but I have more sense! Anyway, it’s first class all the way and we’re a little worried the kids are getting used to this “snapping for service” way of life. Tim and Carolyne, having been in Mazatlan less than 24 hours, have spent their time playing in the Tarzan Pool, playing volleyball, and playing Bingo. Jim and I are contemplating staying here for Christmas now that we can tell the kids that playing at El Cid at JAM’s expense is their Christmas present from us.
