Heavenly Harmonica (Sunday, February 7, 2010)

The harmonica that fell from the skyJust a couple days ago, Jim got a inkling to borrow Carolyne's cheapy-for-beginners harmonica and learn how to play it. He found this really cool website that teaches how to play the notes and has audio of the songs that are being taught so those musicians with good “play by ear” innate gifts and talents can learn faster. He dabbled with song ‘Shenendoah’ for the first couple bars and then put it away. This was Thursday afternoon. www.youtube.com/watch

Saturday, Jim is pulling all the batteries off ‘Hotspur’. We found a LTH battery store in Mazatlan that carries the Trojan equivalents. We discovered that we would save about $100US by exchanging our old batteries.

As Jim is pulling out the forward starter battery, something from above tumbles to the floor at his feet... a small box. He reaches down to see what the heck it is and discovers a harmonica has just fallen out of the sky! It’s a Hohner German made “Blues Harp” in the key of C... about $31US at Amazon.

Jim must have an amazing hidden talent! Why else would it have been bestowed upon him... from the heavens above, no less? I am going to urge him to pursue this... support him in all ways. We’ve been discussing options of how and what way we can earn $1,000US a month to help fund our cruising. This could be it... our meal ticket to cruising forever! www.televisiontunes.com/Jeffersons.html

NOTE: Jim just recently showed Meri how to use the 'insert/link' button on the computer. As of today, he is deeply regretting it.
