Solar Panels Installed! (Wednesday - April 21, 2010)

It took forever, it seems, but we finally got the stainless steel supports built and installed today for the solar panels! This is HUGE, especially since we plan to be hauled out on Monday and don't know if we'll have access to power yet.
We used the aluminum dinghy davits as part of the support system. We were unable to locate anyone who could weld aluminum, so we went with stainless steel. Jim has it engineered so that we can move the panels according to the sunlight to acheive maximum solar production. This is a big deal when we are at anchor.
This is exciting... one step closer to leaving the marina!
