Back in the Saddle Again! Back in La Paz!

We left Mazatlan on June 1st... our 'sea trial' and 'maiden voyage' combo aboard Hotspur. We arrived in La Paz, Mexico June 3rd.

It was a lumpy ride across, but Hotspur sailed 1/2 the way beautifully. The rest of the time we had to motor; at one point we had 25 knots on the nose and had to change course because we weren't making any time. I was sick as a dog... almost 6 months off the water has turned me soft. I think I transformed along the way, though, and have my sea legs back!

It is wonderful to be back on the hook! We have many projects we still have to do: solar panels need to be re-wired, watermaker needs to be installed, stainless steel supports for the bimini need to be welded/formed so that the winches can be operated (yes, they are in the way of the winches!), and the outboard motor for the dinghy needs work... we can't figure out the problem and we've taken it apart numerous times.

We made it... the boat sails like a dream! Thank you, God!
