Day 2 of Living Aboard Alone and Thanksgiving Day
Thanksgiving Day marks the second year anniversary of our maiden voyage and cruising life. We have actually been cruising for 2 years! Sadly, my husband and children were not here to help celebrate the holiday with me. They are in Arizona visiting Grandpa. However, I was invited to Brian's and Dodie's home for an incredible feast: Turkey, gravy, sausage dressing, mashed potatoes, more gravy, cranberry sauce, golden carrots, brussel sprouts, more gravy, pumpkin pie, butterscotch torte and chocolate cake. There were about 19 people in all and it was wonderful! (Note: Ironically, Dodie is an Englishwoman and Brian is a Canadian, but they whipped up an American style Thanksgiving like they've been doing it all their lives!)
And while we continue on our cruising journey, Thanksgiving Day this year marks the end of the cruising life for our dear friends aboard Liberty. Remember the Blog post I did of the boat for sale in September?http://expaticus.com/web-expaticus-com/formosa Larry and Jackie sold their gorgeous 51' Formosa and everything was finalized Thanksgiving Day. They are now embarking on a new chapter and we wish them the best of luck!
