¿Qúe es? (Wednesday, 11/18/09)

What is that on the horizon?
Is it a bird? Is it a plane? It is definitely no super hero... it’s a sea lion! We have seen these little guys behaving like this for the past year. What are they doing? Don’t know. Are they sleeping? Sunning themselves? Yoga? They lay this way in the water, looking mistakingly like a bad thing that you wouldn't want to hit with your boat, so we alter course to avoid running over them. When we get too close, some slip into the briny deep being startled. Others, like this one, continue to stretch and yawn as if our presence is boring him to tears.
