Mazatlan Christmas (Friday 12/25/09)

Carolyne woke everyone at 6am... the measly gifts we had wrapped were the cause. She crawled in bed with Jim while I fixed a pot of coffee. After knudging Tim for 30 minutes, he finally came to life and we watched the kids open their gifts. They were so cute! Very appreciative and having fun... and we gave them only token gifts, but they were wrapped and a surprise.

Dinner was the kicker... fresh beef tenderloin steaks topped with sauteed mushrooms... melted in our mouths!!!! Gratin potatoes in a creamy garlic sauce... fresh romaine salad... steamed broccoli with water chesnuts... loaf of crusty baked bread with melted butter... it was pure heaven! 'Magnificent' was Tim's response. Homemade pumpkin pie for the aftermath... it's time for me to consider a diet of veggies and fruit.
