Carolyne wrote a poem while we were sailing from Alacran to San Francisquito. My 9-year old (soon to be 10 years old on Halloween) likes to explore her hidden talents. I liked this one and asked her permission to post it.
SAIL TO PORT
Wave, Crash!
Wave, Crash!
I’m sailing to port,
Wave, Crash!
Wave, Crash!
I’m sailing to port,
Look at the birds,
This is just a bit of luck!
Look at my pole,
I got a fish!
Wave, Crash!
Wave, Crash!
I’m sailing to port,
The cities are big,
I’m setting my anchor,
Because I made it to port.
Woohoo!
