Bell Rocks

We went hiking early morning to avoid the humidity and heat with the crew of "Don Quixote". The 1 mile hike was not that far, but was steep. The incline rose rapidly from sea level to 600 feet. The hike was rocky and we were very happy to have brought enough water to satisfy our thirsty crew! Once at the top, the kids took rocks and banged them against the iron laden boulders, creating a cacoughany of bell-like sounds. The rocks contain large supplies of iron, which make them "clang". The hike down was uneventful, with the exception of a face-plant here and butt-plant there. I won't mention which one I satisfied.
