Bahia Santa Maria
Pulled into Bahia Santa Maria at 6:30am and what a beautiful sight! It's a very nice anchorage and we decide to stay for a couple days. Local fishermen came to the boat and traded cheap tequila, AA batteries, candy and some of our fresh caught tuna for 8 live lobsters! The next day, same thing but different fishermen. Life is grand! Dolphins have come into the bay to feast on tasty fish... they are a sight to behold.
We Faulkners have discovered that we sucky at surf landings in our dinghy. We have either been thrown out or drenched before getting to shore... all except Jim, whose gloating is getting on our nerves! Thankfully, there's no audience. Bahia Santa Maria is lovely, quiet and wild... not with tourists, but with nice shells, marine birds and the occasional panga fisherman. Carolyne has collected 50 or so very large sand dollars and some other shells, olives and scallops among them. We've had great sleep over the last 2 nights. Having rested well, we're ready to take off for Cabo San Lucas!
