Is Windfall camping or cruising? When we purchased our boat back in 2006, she came with an older PUR35 water maker, which converts sea water into potable drinking water... one gallon every 45 minutes.

Yes, I snabbed these photos from 'Third Day', who has left us this morning after a fantastic hot dog smorgasbord last night! The famous hot dog stand is one of our favorites, although the La Paz stand is top dog, too, in our opinion.

Even the smallest of cuts or abrasions can be dangerous while at sea. So far this year, we’ve had one sting ray wound (Tim), one scorpion sting (Jim), several bee stings (everyone but Meri), and various cuts, scrapes, burns, etc... out of range of medical treatment facilities.

‘Windfall’s cheater cake that looks pastry-chef pretty and tastes like restaurant quality, fancy-schmancy! I threw this together for Carolyne's birthday when we we're at anchor in the Middle-of-Nowhere, Mexico and it was SO good!

We had so hoped to be in Santa Rosalia to celebrate Carolyne’s birthday with all the cruising kids (minus ‘Don Quixote’ who has unfortunately headed further south already). However, the winds have been so snotty lately and the large swells that are accompanying the northerlies are not becoming.

Carolyne wrote a poem while we were sailing from Alacran to San Francisquito. My 9-year old (soon to be 10 years old on Halloween) likes to explore her hidden talents. I liked this one and asked her permission to post it.

We decided to depart Alacran anchorage headed to the inner bay of San Francisquito due to north winds... perfect for heading south! Low and behold, little did we know the swells were going to hit us aft quarter... producing a very uncomfortable and messy ride! Did I mention 30+ knots of wind? Oh, that is also important...

This is our very last day in Bahia Los Angeles. This afternoon we head south and leave the glorious northern Sea of Cortez for warmer destinations. Our plan is to be in La Paz by Thanksgiving.

I received these photos, taken by s/v 'Third Day', who took them while we were waiting out Jimena in Willard Bay. The kids got together and sailed their dinghies and kayaks. They used bed sheets and improvised rigging. It was so creative and hilarious to watch! They raced each other.
