A Clean Bill of Health (Wednesday, 11/25/09)
I have seen Doctora Magaña... a beautiful woman in her 50's who speaks very good English. She is very professional and courteous. The pap exam is quick and thorough in a clean facility with sealed and disposable instruments. She asks me if I have had a mammogram recently and I explain that I have just made an appointment. She verifies that Dr. Araiza, with whom I have made the appointment, is highly recommended. She also tells me to bring me the results of the mammogram to her so that she can study them... at no extra cost.
Yes, Mam... Yes, Pap (Tuesday 11/24/09)
I can’t talk about La Paz, or even Mexico for that matter, without mentioning the fabulous healthcare practices and prices! Dentists, Dermatologists, Internists... you name it.
DISCLAIMER: Okay Men, only read this if you’re understanding about women's healthcare or wear a long ponytail. There is nothing graphic in the content, but I consider not discussing this a sin. Consider yourself warned! Some men (Patrick) may get queasy (Patrick) with the mere idea (Patrick) of a pap or mammogram exam (PATRICK!).
La Paz... Redeemed (Monday, 11/23/09)
We met up with old friends... quite a few of them here in La Paz. What a nice treat to see folks you've met while cruising along the way. Of course, Just A Minute and Third Day arriving was also an awaited pleasure. Low and behold... they're anchored next to us. The 'instigator' I talked about before must have pulled every hair out of his head by now... poor guy.

Wind Surfing (Friday, 11/20/09)
Anchored at San Francisquito, held up there for six nights due to nasty winds outside the anchorage, Windfall got a special treat. Rick on Lymerick is an avid wind surfing dude. Once he arrived in the anchorage he called us on the radio and asked if there were any of us who would like to give it a try.
